An opportunity has arisen for a Public Health Intelligence Officer to join the Public Health Intelligence Team within the Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy.  The team provide an expert resource on epidemiology, demography and population health evidence to meet the information needs of NHS Highland in support of the public health function.

The post holder will manage and analyse complex data using appropriate statistical and analytical techniques from a wide range of primary and secondary data sources. The role will contribute to the development of indicators and reports which may have a major impact on the provision of services and quality of care. The post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of work within the team.  

The post holder must be educated to degree level in a numeric subject or have equivalent experience in a large and complex organisational environment. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to analyse, interpret and present complex data in a way which enables ease of use and understanding by a range of audiences.

The post is NHS Highland wide and the successful candidate will be based in Inverness or Lochgilphead.
