Healthcare Support Worker Medical 1


Band 2 Salary £19,609 – £21,615 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,117 per annum

37.5 hours per week

Permanent post



A vacancy has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker within Medical ward 1.  Medical ward 1 consists of 8 adult inpatient beds, 3 paediatric beds and 4 HDU beds.


Applicants should be committed to providing a high standard of care and interact well within a multi-disciplinary team. Applicants should have good communication skills; previous experience working within health or social would be desirable but not essential.  Day night rotation as well as weekend working is essential for this post


The successful candidate will need to achieve the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers and comply with the Code of Conduct within three months of full time employment or up to six months for part time workers.  For further information see www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk
