You will provide high quality, evidence based, occupationally focussed, culturally sensitive and mental health occupational therapy assessment and intervention to older adults experiencing mental health problems within the north east of Glasgow

You will be responsible for a delegated caseload with regular formal and informal caseload supervision provided by a specialist Occupational Therapist and in line with the NHSGG&C Mental Health occupational therapy supervision guidance.

You will work as part of 3 multidisciplinary teams within the sector in line with RCOT and HCPC professional standards of practice. This post contributes to MDT service development and delivery of care and promoting the role of the community mental occupational therapy.

You will provide advice, information, and education regarding occupational therapy to patients and carers and colleagues

You will provide occupational focussed interventions in line with HCPC standards and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective, assessment, treatment and discharge planning, utilising evidenced based practice such as the model of human occupation and general bio-psychosocial model of interventions . Record keeping which reflects these interventions will be in line with national HCPC and local NHS standards of practice.

BSc/Msc in Occupational Therapy
