MAINTENANCE CRAFTSPERSON - ELECTRICIAN
Band 4: £23,709 - £25,982 (Plus recruitment and retention premium approx. £3,893)
37.5 hours per week – Full Time, Permanent
A vacancy has arisen for an Maintenance Craftsperson Electrician within the Estates Department of NHS Highland. The successful applicant will be required to carry out maintenance and repair of building services, plant and equipment within the Skye area and across the Inverness Community areas. Ideally we would like the prospective candidate to be local to Skye as the position is predominately around the Island. A current driving licence is essential.
Applicants must have served a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have appropriate experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment, preferably within a health care environment however relevant experience in other industries is also considered advantageous.
Applicants must be able to work as part of a team, without supervision, often on remote sites. After suitable familiarisation and training, availability for, and participation in, the on-call rota is also a requirement.
The post is eligible for a Recruitment & Retention Premier (RRP) of approx. £3893, on call allowance and enhanced rates for call outs in addition to the basic salary.
A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessary, to provide shift cover and the level of service required.
