This position is in partnership with Glasgow City council which has different salary scale, grades and hours.

NHSGGC: £63,530 - £68,223, Grade B8B, 37.5 hours

This is an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join our Children’s Services Planning and Change Team to support a diverse range of workstreams, and to line manage a number of posts within the team.

The post-holder will work closely with a range of stakeholders to support the development and improvement of children’s services, and to contribute to a range of initiatives within North-East locality, including the Parkhead Hub, and associated change management work.

We’re seeking a candidate who is qualified to degree level with excellent facilitation and analysis skills, and experience of leading service improvement in a complex environment. The candidate should also have experience of developing teams, and coaching staff.

In addition to general planning responsibilities, key duties will include, but are not
limited to:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of the Locality and Strategic Plan, as well as the Integrated Children’s Services Plan, and associated evaluation and reporting
  • Supporting locality property work, including PCIP improvement programme, and contributing to the range of workstreams associated with the development of Parkhead Hub
  • Supporting a range of children’s services workstreams
  • Developing and supporting community engagement across a range of workstreams
  • Line managing and coaching staff with a diverse range of duties
  • Analysing and integrating evidence into discussions, reports and plans.
  • Developing and implementing evaluation frameworks
  • Producing reports and delivering presentations in line with existing governance processes and structure, with a focus on analysis and evaluation, and monitoring and reporting on programme risks, actions, issues and dependencies registers/logs.
