Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
What you'll do
Key tasks will include but are not restricted to;
Working in partnership with NHS Scotland Assure colleagues and other stakeholders to progress the workforce education aspects of the those staff working within the healthcare-built environment
Leading and operationally managing a range of high-profile educational initiatives at national level
Liaising with a range of partners from health, social care, education, independent and third sectors, including Higher Education Institutions, Scottish Government and strategic leads in Health Boards
Developing and maintaining effective links with key stakeholders in order to support wider NES activity
Actively contributing to wider public health programme activities ensuring that plans are progressed
What you'll bring
These will include but are not restricted to;
Evidence of Masters Level (or working towards) academic study
Significant specialist infection prevention and control knowledge in both education and practice
Significant knowledge of the HBE and workforce requirements
Substantial postgraduate experience
Experience of working in an educationally or knowledge management focused environment
Experience of working within a multidisciplinary environment
Experience/understanding of the external political and social environment, including NHS policy issues and priorities, and the wider agenda of public policy impacting on other relevant agencies
