An opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmic Imaging Technician to join our team within the Medical Photography Service at NHS Lothian.
You will join a team of 23 staff who are committed to providing a comprehensive Medical Photography / Video / Graphic Design Service to NHS Lothian. The Medical Photography Service is currently based at five hospital sites, four within Edinburgh and one in Livingston, West Lothian. You will be based at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh, and will undertake ophthalmic imaging duties. You will assist in the provision of high quality diagnostic imaging for Ophthalmology Services across the organisation and be required to work at more than one hospital site on a rota basis.
Applicants should possess an HND in Photography. Consideration will also be given to applicants who have an equivalent level media / imaging qualification and proven relevant experience working within the healthcare setting. Applicants should be experienced in OCT image capture and Fundus Photography, as well as being familiar with digital imaging workflows and using image management systems.
This is a fixed term contract running until 31.12.23.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record.
