2x37.5 hours a week posts available​​​​​​​

An opportunity has arisen for a multi skilled technician to carry out tasks not limited to electrical, mechanical and plumbing skills. The applicant will need to be a motivated individual able to react and think quickly on how to deal with breakdowns within the NHSH estate and to carry out work safely. The post is full time and based in the Estates Department at Raigmore Hospital and the National Treatment Centre, Inverness. This post will predominantly in Inverness but successful applicants may be required to work in other areas across NHS Highland to suit department needs.

Applicants must have served a recognised mechanical, electrical qualification for the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, preferably within a health care environment, however, relevant experience in other industries may also considered . Experience working with electrical installations, heating services, boiler plant, pumps and ventilation systems would also be advantageous.  

Applicants must be able to work as part of a team or alone, without supervision. After suitable familiarisation and training, the applicant will be expected to participate in the on-call rota. 
  
A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessary, to provide on call cover and the level of service required.
