This is an exciting opportunity of a 12 month fixed term contract for a senior occupational therapist within a multi disciplinary Adult Community Mental Health Team. Applications will be considered for full time or part time hours and also job share options. Essential to this post is an experienced Occupational Therapist who is confident with their core skills, has excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative clinical style. Also required is a well developed knowledge of care of adults with mental health problems and appropriate interventions. Responsibilities will include occupational therapy assessment and treatment for individuals and groups residing in the south of Glasgow, key worker to clients with complex mental health difficulties and participation in service developments. You will be responsible for making recommendations to facilitate safe and independent living, supporting clients with recovery through day structure including vocational rehabilitation, access to leisure, education and employability via individual and group work. You will undertake clinical and professional supervision of Occupational Therapy students and staff. You will receive professional support and supervision from the Lead Occupational Therapist, will gain access to appropriate training and maintain your continued professional development. It is essential you have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
