Two vacancies have arisen for enthusiastic Nuclear Medicine Clinical Scientists to join the Nuclear Medicine team across two acute hospital sites.
The successful candidates will act as appointed MPEs for the nuclear medicine services at University Hospital Crosshouse (UHC) and University Hospital Ayr (UHA). Each site has a single Intevo SPECT/CT gamma camera and the department provides radionuclide therapy, GFR and sentinel node biopsy services. These new posts show the commitment that NHS Ayrshire & Arran has given to advancing the Nuclear Medicine service in the area and provide an exciting opportunity to contribute to both departmental and personal development.
Applicants should have:-
• 1st or 2nd class honours degree in a relevant scientific discipline
• MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent
• IPEM Diploma in Medical Physics or equivalent
• State registration as a Clinical Scientist
• Certified Medical Physics Expert or sufficient experience to apply for MPE certification
University Hospital Crosshouse and University Hospital Ayr are situated next to the scenic Clyde Coast and are within easy commuting distance from Glasgow.
Hours: 37.5 per week, over 5 days.
