An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative individual to work as a Surgical First Assistant (SFA) within NHS Fife Theatres. We are seeking a passionate individual who can make a meaningful contribution to supporting a high standard of patient care.
NHS Fife utilises a Da Vinci robot used in General Surgery, Gynaecology and Urology, leading the way in innovative surgery. Experience working in robotic surgery would be desirable.
We are looking for an experienced, professional practitioner with a passion for surgery and who has extensive perioperative experience. You will be expected to function as an independent practitioner/clinical expert by virtue of your in-depth knowledge and experience.
Theatres can be an intense fast paced environment with a team working ethos being at the heart of the services we provide. If you enjoy a challenge and would like to join this busy friendly unit, then this may be the post for you.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Surgical First Assistants who have completed a nationally recognised Advanced Scrub Practitioner/Surgical First Assistant (Parts 1 and 2) qualification for Registered Nurses / Operating Department Practitioners
You should have evidence of significant post registration professional practice experience with substantial experience in the theatre environment to undertake and fulfill the key areas for required for this post.
