An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 clinical nurse specialist(CNS) To support the Senior nurses and Optometrist in the central ophthalmic electronic referrals unit (COeRU)
You will be responsible for the safe journey and disposal of all ophthalmology referrals coming in via SCI gateway from Optometrists, GPs, Health visitors, and other MDT. You will be responsible to ensure that all referrals are processed and screened within 24 hrs (except weekends).
We also have an opportunity for a CNS to undertake IVTs, Specialist nurse clinics and working within sub- specialities with consultant support.
You will be expected to be educated to degree level or equivalent level of skill gained through experience. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills and you will have significant post registration experience in the relevant field.
