NHS Ayrshire & Arran are inviting applications for the position of Lead CT Radiographer, based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team and assist the management team in maintaining clinical and professional standards whilst providing comprehensive and effective day-to-day management of the service.
You will be responsible for line management of a small team of staff and the delivery of the CT service at UHC, working closely with our team of Consultant Radiologists and other Superintendent Radiographers.
You should have a post graduate certificate in CT and a wide range of substantial CT experience.
As lead radiographer within the specialty, you have a high level of knowledge and decision making to provide guidance and technical expertise to support service users and departmental staff.
You should have strong leadership qualities, organisational skills and the ability to share and develop ideas to enable the delivery of a high quality service. Excellent communication and team working skills are crucial. You would be expected to be involved in the development of, and maintenance of staff rotas therefore experience in this would be advantageous.
You must demonstrate a commitment to professional development and show a keen interest in the future of their profession and the Diagnostic Imaging services.
You will be expected to support both the service and its staff in continuing to maintain and develop the highest standards of imaging. You will be involved in departmental audit activities and excellent communication and team working skills are essential.

It is essential you have a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography / Imaging Services with current registration with the HCPC, post graduate qualification in a Computed tomography and a Certificate of competence in Intravenous Injections

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5pm
Base Hospital is University Hospital Crosshouse but you may be asked to work on other sites within NHS Ayrshire & Arran
A car owner / driver is essential.
