NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have exciting opportunities for Domestic Assistants those wishing to join our support service team. The predominant purpose of the Facilities Assistant (Domestic) role is to provide a quality domestic service to the hospital ensuring that a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors. You will be following agreed cleaning work schedules, methods and procedures in accordance with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Specification and Healthcare Acquired infection (HAI_ Task Force Code of Practice). There is the requirement to rotate around our wards, clinical areas and all departments within the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Your duties will include: Present an efficient, high quality domestic service to patients and staff, follow specific schedule of work relating to defined areas. There is the requirement for you have a flexible approach to daily routine. There will be the use of economic and safe use of cleaning agents, following manufacturers recommended instructions. You will use of mechanical cleaning equipment. You should inform Supervisor of requirements for work materials as required and check delivery of cleaning supplies and equipment. You will wear protective clothing as supplied by the Department and complete all daily/weekly sign off sheets for areas of work.
All necessary training will be offered to ensure your working environment is safe, and you are confident within your role.

There are 14 positions available with various shifts.
The shift patterns for these positions are
Monday - Friday 4.30pm - 8.30pm
Saturday - Sunday 4.30pm - 8.30pm
Saturday - Sunday 6.00pm - 8.00pm
Saturday - Sunday 5.00pm - 9.00pm
Saturday - Sunday 3.30pm - 7.30pm
Saturday - Sunday 3.00pm - 7.00pm
