Community Treatment and Care

Location - Moray

(18.75 hours)

Permanent post

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker to provide a spirometry service within our Community and Treatment and Care Service based in GP Practices and Centres across Moray.  The successful applicant will be required to work as a HCSW within the GP Practices initially until the spirometry service is fully established.

Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) staff work as integral members of practice clinical teams, working with GPs, practice staff and community teams as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, utilising their skills to complement those of other team members to support GP practices in providing the best care for our patients.

Spirometry is a breathing test used as part of a respiratory function assessment, using an instrument (spirometer) for measuring the amount of air moved in and out of the lungs, from which various lung capacities and changes in volumes can be calculated.  Training and support will be given for the successful candidates.

We are looking for applicants who are caring, patient, adaptable and forward thinking.

Due to the variety of locations, a driving licence/access to a car is essential, but travel out with Elgin will be reimbursed.

Interviews will be held on 31st January
