University Hospital Monklands is looking for Mints Major / Minor Injury Practitioner with previous experience working within the emergency department at senior band 5 / band 6 levels.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will have responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. Assessment of presenting conditions, initiation of investigations, determination of differential diagnosis, initiate treatment and where appropriate discharge of patients. Review treatment plans developed by less experienced staff in order to confirm the differential diagnosis and advise on discharge/referral. In the absence of the Team Leader for MINTS, the post holder will have responsibility for the management of the MINTS Service including supervision, development and deployment of junior staff. 

It is essential that you have emergency department experience and have a Minor injury qualification or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification.
