This is an exciting time for Raigmore Hospital Operating Department.  We have recently completed a full refurbishment of our theatre suite and recovery area, this has created a need to expand our surgical facilities and we are now looking to expand our theatre practitioner team.

An opportunity has now arisen with a vacancy for a health care support worker. This would be an elective post, which requires a shift pattern of 0800/0830-1700/1730, Monday to Friday.

In addition to our forthcoming NTC development we currently offer learning opportunities within elective specialties such as ENT Urology, Upper GI, Colorectal, Vascular, Plastic Surgery Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Maternity, elective Orthopaedic and Orthopaedic trauma, Breast Surgery including reconstructive surgery.

Opportunities to work within Robotic assisted surgery, allowing complex surgical procedures within Colorectal, urology and gynaecology. This has been an exciting new addition to our elective surgery service, bringing NHS Highland to the forefront of surgery.

On average 17,750 surgical procedures are carried out in Raigmore Hospital per year.

Successful candidates are required to be motivated, enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills and commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.

Raigmore Hospital in Inverness is the largest hospital in the Highlands of Scotland and is the main centre for orthopaedic trauma and elective and emergency surgery for the Highlands and Islands.
