An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Clydesdale Adult Community Mental Health Team, based at Lanark Health Centre for a Band 3, Clinical Support Worker - MHLD (Mental Health and Learning Disabilities).
Please note; this is a fixed term post for 2 years. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Please note; this is a part time post for 30 hours and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Shift Pattern: this post requires the successful candidate to work on a shift pattern of 5 out of 7 days, be available to work flexible hours including rostered weekend shifts.
Mon-Thur 08:30- 18:30/Sat-Sun/PH 08:30=16:30 pro rata
The post holder will be required to undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or community setting. The post-holder will be required to work without direct supervision on a regular basis, referring to the registered nurse as required.
Awareness of national and local mental health agenda and experience of working with people who have mental health care needs.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
- SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
- To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
