An exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Mental Health Occupational Therapy Team delivering an innovative, forward looking and collaborative service providing person centred intervention for the prison population across the three Forth Valley Prisons.

We would welcome applications from innovative Occupational Therapists who have a clinical interest in mental health within the prison service.  Applicants must have a strong collaborative approach to care and thrive on working in a complex multidisciplinary setting.

As an OT working within Prison Healthcare you will work as part of the Mental Health Team and have a unique opportunity for clinical skill development and specialism due to the variety and complexity of the patient group. Training opportunities are actively encouraged to support staff to meet their own development needs and those of the patient population.

The successful candidate will take a key role within the Team working in partnership with NHS staff, Prison Service and other agencies within the Prison to improve participation and engagement and ultimately improve personal outcomes.

The successful candidate(s) will be HCPC registered and will be mobile across Forth Valley. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

NHS Forth Valley is embracing contemporary working. As and when required the post holder will be expected to participate in twilight or weekend working.
