The shift pattern for this post is 8:30 – 4:30 or 9-5, Monday to Friday.

Come and join our dedicated community paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team in Inverclyde. Due to recent changes within the team we have the rare opportunity for up to 1.0wte permanent Senior Clinical Support Worker to deliver care to a wide range of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. You will be allocated a delegated caseload by a Speech and Language Therapist and provide agreed care plans to children, their families and to school and nursery staff across the Inverclyde locality. In addition you will have responsibility to support and co-ordinate the other Clinical Support Workers within the team.

No SLT specific training is required however you must have prior experience of working with children, an interest in communication development and a willingness to learn quickly. We need an individual who enjoys the fun of working with children, is enthusiastic and inspiring and who can bring their own creative skills to the work which is varied and demanding.  We will support your learning and development within the team. All staff receive regular supervision, participate in team and base meetings and have opportunities to participate in our practice development networks, reflective practice groups etc

This post is based in Greenock Health and Care Centre, Wellington Street, Greenock but our team work across a variety of settings throughout the community. Car driver is essential.  

Up to full time hours (37.5hrs Mon-Fri) available although we would be open to negotiation for the right candidate.
