Shift pattern for this position is  Monday - Friday.

Based in the Gorbals Health & Care Centre, this post forms part of the business support team and provides comprehensive secretarial and business administrative support to Specialist Children’s Services multi-disciplinary team in relation to the Specialist Community Paediatric Team.  The post-holder will contribute achievement of the role of the area through efficient provision of a variety of secretarial and administrative duties.  The post-holder will work closely as a team and with the Senior Business Support Assistants, being able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the service.  The post involves assisting with audio typing, dealing with telephone enquiries, data input, record management and supporting generic functions and duties

The post-holder will work closely with all team members of the SCP Team and the wider SCS Team.  The post holder will assist with all aspects of admin support, following standard processes for the pathway, ensuring its smooth running and efficiency.

You must be able to demonstrate competency in the use of range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL and have a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to an SVQ in Administration at Level 2 or above, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience.   With a flexible approach, you should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to prioritise workloads, accurately input clinical and non-clinical data and be an effective team player.

You should have a good knowledge of office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role.
