Are you a Band 7 Highly Speech and Language Therapist, or ready to develop your existing Band 6 skills in frailty and unscheduled care looking to join a dynamic team of inpatient therapists?  We currently have a full-time, Band 7 Clinical lead post within our adult services team (Part time and Job Share will be considered).  

This is an exciting opportunity to develop highly specialist level knowledge and skills in relation to communication and dysphagia with a focus on working in acute in patient services and our Combined Assessment Unit.  This post aims to ensure enhanced clinical leadership within the in patient service across South Ayrshire HSCP, develop new and effective ways of working that improves Quality of patient care, avoids unnecessary admissions, and reduces length of stay. 

You will be well supported by the team that consists of therapists and assistants.  All posts involve some joint working and there are opportunities to take part in training with more experienced members of the team. All staff are supported to participate in a robust supervision programme and will be provided with regular CPD opportunities. 

The SLT Adult team work in partnership with our community colleagues.  We work closely with colleagues in health, social care, voluntary services, and the third sector to provide a genuinely person-centred service. 

You must show highly specialist clinical skills and knowledge, be able to effectively manage their own time, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to show appropriate highly specialist level leadership skills. Experience of working in an acute setting is essential.

Driving licence is essential for this role.
