Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time (40 hours per week) post based at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh.
This is a substantive appointment for a specialty doctor. The successful applicant will join the current team to provide paediatric haematology and paediatric oncology care for patients in Lothian. This appointment will primarily support delivery of care within the day care facility of the Paediatric Haematology and Paediatric Oncology ward, in addition to supporting inpatient, theatre and outpatient care. The new post holder will have an opportunity to link with the existing team in providing and developing these services.
Key Requirements include GMC registered medical practitioner with licence to practise.
Previous experience in General Paediatrics and show evidence of commitment to Paediatric Haematology/Oncology and show evidence of skills which would support delivery of high quality care to children attending the department.
There is excellent support and working relationships with other sub-specialities within medical paediatrics, paediatric surgery and AHP's at RHCYP: radiology (MDT, weekly medical radiology meeting), dietetics, pharmacy, clinical psychology (PPALS), speech and language therapy and social work.
