What you'll do
This post will support the development of education and training for pharmacist post registration career development, focusing on the later stages of the career pathway. Education and training, as part of wider workforce transformation across pharmacy, will increase clinical capacity providing direct patient facing care as part of the multidisciplinary team. This role will deliver the collaboration and expertise required to support embedding this level of pharmacist education and training within clinical pathways.
The Programme Lead for Pharmacy will be responsible for:
Leading the development of advanced practice pharmacist education and training requirements as defined by the RPS Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum in the NHS managed service within a specific clinical pathway, speciality or sector which aligns with service priorities and an area of expertise as agreed on appointment
- Explore and develop national pathways to support the key pillars i.e. clinical practice, leadership, research and education.
- Supporting the development of the conditions required in practice to allow pharmacists to develop the clinical practice, leadership, education and research skills required
What you'll bring
You will hold a Master of Pharmacy degree, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You will be able to demonstrate current practice is at an Advanced or Consultant level as defined by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society curriculum https://www.rpharms.com/development/credentialing/core-advanced-pharmacist-curriculum
You will demonstrate strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills and be able to evidence the ability to build and sustain key relationships across the stakeholders and sectors.
Please note that travel across Scotland can be a business as usual requirement of this role and may require overnight stays.
