Counter Fraud Specialist (Level 2)
About the Organisation:

NHS Scotland Counter Fraud Services (CFS) has the remit to protect NHS Scotland from fraud and other financial crime. In achieving this, CFS provides a comprehensive, integrated and professional service to NHS Scotland by preventing, detecting and investigating fraud, bribery and corruption.
The Post:
We are seeking a suitably experienced individual to join our counter fraud team.
Working in either our Prevention Team or Investigation Team, you’ll bring to us a proficiency in countering fraud gained from either a commercial or public sector environment. In the Prevention Team you will work with us to support health boards in identifying, assessing, measuring, and managing their fraud and corruption risks and provide advice to NHS bodies on measures to strengthen their resilience to fraud, bribery, and corruption. In the Investigation Team you will be involved in all aspects of criminal investigations and reporting of evidence to Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
With excellent communication and analytical skills, you will foster good working relationships with a range of professional disciplines across and outside of the National Health Service and provide professional advice to various organisations. Possession of a relevant fraud qualification and experience in a counter fraud role is required.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Location and Working Pattern:
Location – Bain Square, Livingston (currently hybrid working between home and office), relocating to Eurocentral, near Holytown, Lanarkshire, early 2023
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
