Post: Locum consultant physician in gENITOURINARY & HIV medicine
base: nhs greater glasgow & clyde
Applications are invited for up to 0.8 WTE Locum consultant physician(s) to provide Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) and HIV care in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The post is based at Sandyford Central but may include duties at other locations in the Health Board area. This is a fixed term post for 1 year.
The post has a focus on urgent care of symptomatic individuals and management of complex GUM presentations. They offer fantastic opportunities to focus on high quality clinical care and teaching (including Specialist Training) of acute and chronic presentations within a large, urban sexual health centre.
The post holder(s) will be expected to provide direct clinical care and leadership; to participate in local and national quality improvement activities; to support and take part in educational activities; to undertake administrative tasks, and to deliver other duties as required at the request of the Sandyford management team.
Sandyford offers a comprehensive range of Sexual Health services. The service commitment and training opportunities will be tailored according to the successful applicant’s core skills and development needs.
Applicants should have full GMC registration, a licence to practice and be on the Specialist Register by the time of starting post. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to a CCT in Genitourinary Medicine or within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of Interview. Those eligible for specialist registration (CESR) should be in receipt of this at time of interview. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
