We are excited to be recruiting to the post of Integrated Operations Manager, the role has a broad remit, providing operational social work insight and expertise across many issues. You will lead a team of health and social care staff and will play a key role in steering the social work profession through continuous process of change and development, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. You will be a visible representative across the HSCP managing the profession and ensuring the Mental Health Officer service is meeting statutory requirements.

The role works closely with the Head of Service and peers to inform the future of the HSCP and to ensure the social work profession is properly represented. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience of working in multi-disciplinary community teams.  

The Integrated Operations Manager will have responsibility for leading, managing and developing Community Health and Social Work services for adults and older adults in West Dunbartonshire. This is a key operational and strategic management role with direct responsibility for the activities of a large multi-disciplinary team. This will include clinical and care governance, budget management, workforce planning.  You will have a number of distinct social work responsibilities which will include the professional governance of statutory social work within the team.  It is essential that you are educated to degree level in social work or possess a professional qualification in Social Work, Health or equivalent. It is further essential that you have practical working knowledge and experience of relevant legislation as well as experience of managing adult support and protection work and working within a risk framework and proven experience of managing demanding and complex service areas and activities. Knowledge and skills relating to commissioning of services from third and private sectors is desirable for this post.  Providing leadership and delivering the objectives and priorities for Mental Health Services at a HSCP level to ensure that a modern, responsive service is provided for users of the system within the local community.
