An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacy technician to join our senior pharmacy team and participate in the provision of a high quality pharmaceutical service within NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Pharmacy Services in NHS Ayrshire & Arran are undergoing a period of transformational change- and this role is vital to help shape that.
You will manage some of technical aspects of the pharmacy service at University Hospital Ayr, including staff, resources, activity and information and will provide professional leadership to all pharmacy technicians and support workers at their base hospital.
You will have operational responsibility for provision of a quality service in dispensing services, the distribution of medicines and will work alongside the senior team to ensure the very best outcomes for our patients.
You should have experience of managing and leading teams and be able to demonstrate an advanced level of pharmacy knowledge, skills and judgement.
You will participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours rotas as required and will be based at UHA. In accordance with AFC terms and conditions there may be a requirement to work over 7 days and/or an extended working day.
