The Senior Information Analyst is Responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of business intelligence to exploit the corporate datasets in support of the operational, planning, service improvement and performance monitoring requirements of NHS Lanarkshire and its operating divisions and corporate departments. Investigates highly complex enquiries providing assistance and advice as required and contributes to corporate reporting providing strategic/business planning advice.
The following knowledge, training and/or experience is required for the job:
- Degree with a high numerical and statistical content
- Skills gained through a mixture of internal and external formal training, e.g. graduate diploma qualification
- Experience of Information Management in a Health Care environment at a senior level
- Specialist knowledge of the organisation’s information requirements
- Highly developed IT and information analysis skills with an in-depth specialist knowledge and experience of application of NHS data definitions, information standards and policies is essential
- The postholder should have a theoretical knowledge base and practical experience of managing a skills based staff.
- Effective and confident communication skills are required to present, advise and instruct analyses, procedures and standards to a senior audience.
