Job Advert
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly and supportive team working in the Moray area of Grampian as a Speech and Language Therapy Healthcare Support Worker.
The post involves supporting Speech and Language Therapists and Speech and Language Therapy Associate Practitioners to meet the needs of children, young people and adults with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) in a variety of locations across Moray. This will involve working directly with children, young people, adults and their families and/or carers (both individually and in groups), providing coaching and support to families, carers and other professionals as well as co-delivering training. Our team is community based with a mixed caseload across both acute and community settings. Our team has a strong commitment to working in partnership with clients, their families, other professionals and the wider community with a strong focus on developing capacity for self-management.
We are a small team based in a modern building in a central location which enables regular informal as well as formal support and supervision.
Within the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, we are committed to staff development through joint working opportunities, access to specialist advice, formalised supervision and training.
Relevant experience working with children, young people and/or adults in an educational or health care setting would be advantageous.
Car drivers are essential.
For informal enquiries, please contact Anya Bird, Lead Speech and Language Therapist, on 01343 553100.
