Buckie, Cullen & Fochabers
Band 7
Fixed term 12-month contract – to cover Maternity Leave
Moray H&SCP
This is a new development and a very exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist to work in an advanced practitioner role in Primary Care across Buckie, Cullen and Fochabers GP practices.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate advanced post-graduate training and experiential knowledge and be willing to undertake further training. You will be clinically supervised by a team lead Band 8a Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team in Primary Care offering Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention at an advanced practice level to a diverse range of patients with physical and mental health conditions which impact on their functioning, in a scheduled and unscheduled way. The aim is for these patients to improve and manage their own health and well-being through Occupational Therapy providing person-centred assessment, proactive interventions, self-management strategies and support.
Your role will be to promote awareness and increasing understanding of Occupational Therapy with GPs, the wider multidisciplinary team and the public.
You will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of the service under the direction of the team lead Occupational Therapists, using quality improvement methodology, and building on existing evidence to inform the Occupational Therapy service delivery across Primary Care in Moray.
The Moray Occupational Therapy Team is a well-established team with robust supervision, mentoring, quality review and audit frameworks and we strive to provide an excellent service to our patients. We also have close working relationships with our AHP and multidisciplinary colleagues in Moray and across NHS Grampian and national links.
Moray is an extraordinarily beautiful place to live and work.
