We have various Qualified Dental Nursing vacancies both full time and part time based both within the Edinburgh Dental Institute and the Public Dental Service Clinics which are located all across NHS Lothian (East-Lothian, Mid-Lothian, West-Lothian, and Edinburgh)

A job within the NHS Lothian Oral Health Service offers a varied, stimulating and rewarding career. This role brings with it opportunities to work in clinics located in various settings including NHS Lothian hospital sites, health centers, special schools, prisons and have several purpose-built dental centers.

We provide domiciliary care as well as general anaesthetic services from St John’s Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, and intravenous sedation for children and adults at some of our specialist sites.  

The Oral Health Service believes in nurturing professional growth through opportunities such as post qualifications and an environment which supports colleagues. As a Service, we provide a mentoring programme to support new staff members joining the department.

We are looking for confident, enthusiastic team players with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. This is an exciting opportunity for committed individuals to work within a team that provides efficient and effective support to the dental team within the Oral Health Service.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
