Part-time, 22.9 hours per week, wte .61, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our small established Women’s Health team within The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

The post is based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.  The successful applicant would be required to work in an inpatient and outpatient setting.  Inpatient service includes Obstetrics and Gynaecology wards with a small Obstetric HDU unit and a DSU which you may be required to visit.  The successful applicant will also form part of a busy outpatient service which includes:  antenatal patients with musculoskeletal conditions related to their pregnancy; postnatal patients with perineal tears and DRAMS; and consultant referred gynaecological patients with bladder dysfunctions and prolapse.

We also provide an antenatal class, pelvic girdle pain group and a postnatal DRAM class all of which you would be involved with.

The successful candidate will have broad experience, ideally with an interest in musculoskeletal problems, particularly low back and pelvic pain.  This would be a post suitable for an individual who has had MSK out-patient experience especially with back assessments.

Support will be offered for training.
