We are seeking two Specialty Doctors to fill 10 session post within the Oral and Maxillofacial Department. You will join our team of 3 consultant colleagues,3 WTE specialty doctors and junior training grade staff and will have the skills to compliment those already practising in the Department. A wide range of treatments are carried out including the management of oro-facial sepsis, facial trauma, dento-alveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, TMJ arthroscopy and arthroplasty, salivary gland disease, head and neck cancer services, oral medicine and the treatment of skin malignancy within the head and neck.
Some experience is desireable in Oral Medicine, and in-patient management, participation in the emergency on call service would be expected.
The post involves non-resident on-call at 2nd on-call level, previous experience in emergency OMFS presentations is required.
The main base for this post will be Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. OMFS is a specialty within the Planned Care Directorate which is part of the Acute Services Division. Appropriately experienced applicants must have full registration with the General Dental Council and have completed at least 4 years full-time postgraduate training of which at least 2 years will have been within Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
