NHS Tayside has a new and exciting vacancy for a Digital Systems Support Technician / Specialist Device Project Assistant, this post will assist the Specialist Device Project Facilitator role to scope, identify and manage the Digital elements of Medical Device procurement, Implementation, and assessments, leading to a smooth on-boarding of these systems and ultimately benefitting our Patients and Staff.

What the Job entails:

The job entails providing delivery and co-ordination in relation to supporting the procurement and installation of Medical Devices and other systems.  This work spans all aspects of NHS Tayside’s Digital Infrastructure. This role will engage with colleagues in the Digital Directorate and across NHS Tayside as well as Suppliers and National colleagues.  This post holder will also be required to form key internal relationships with Clinicians and other Medical Support Teams throughout the Organisation.


Key elements of this role will be working with colleagues to organise on the ground aspects of on boarding these devices and systems across NHS Tayside Sites. These are often complex implementations with many interdependencies and components. This role will assist with tasks such as, arranging data cabling, firewall changes and remote access application and account creation.

The Digital Team are currently based in Maryfield House, Dundee, however this may change in the future and there is some flexibility, with the team working remotely at times across NHS Tayside Sites.

This is a permanent, full time post (37.5 hrs per week). post that is predominantly Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.00 pm but this can change depending on service need so flexibility is required.
