Main duties and responsibilities:


Being a FY1 grade doctor, you are required to examine patients daily at hospital and going around with registrars, advanced nurse practitioners and consultants. This also includes general duties like ward rounds, admitting and discharging the patients. More specifications about main duties will be in shift details received from the hospital.

The FY1 will provide clinical support and set a professional example working alongside other clinical staff. Duties will revolve around day to day running of the ward. There will also be opportunities to attend clinics and operation theatres depending on the rota. Doing audits and quality improvement activities will also be a part of duties.
