Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time (40 hours per week) post based in the Western General Hospital.
Applications are invited from registered medical practitioners for the post of Consultant in Infectious Diseases. This position is a replacement post, to join a team of ten consultant physicians and academics including the Professor of Infection Medicine, based at the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. The unit has an active and growing remit in all aspects of infectious diseases medicine, including HIV, hepatitis C, hepatitis C, OPAT, community acquired infection, travel/tropical medicine, antibiotic stewardship and the provision of an infection consult service to all acute sites in Lothian.
The post will available from May 2023.
The appointment is for 10 PAs. 3 PAs General Internal Medicine and 7 PAs Infectious Diseases. It is subject to the Terms and Conditions for medical consultant grade staff under the new consultant contract (Scotland).
