Do you have excellent communication skills, an ability to work in partnership with
others, a patient focused approach and a desire to provide and improve services to
meet the needs of adults who require enteral feeding?
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced dietitian to join the dietetic team to lead, co-ordinate and develop the Home Enteral Tube Feeding (HETF) service across Grampian.
The postholder will have:
- A strategic remit, working in partnership with colleagues across health and social care to develop and deliver the service
- A clinical remit, managing a complex HETF caseload and supporting and mentoring others in their caseload management
- An educational remit in developing and delivering training and education as required across Grampian
- A lead role in undertaking quality improvement, research and audit
- A joint lead role in the HETF contract negotiation and management, working alongside local and national procurement
- Operational responsibility for a small team of HETF dietitians and HCSW
The HETF dietitians and HCSW are highly valued members of the wider multi-disciplinary team and recognised as essential in the development and delivery of the care of adults requiring enteral feeding. They have well established networks across Grampian, aiming to promote high quality, patient focused, evidenced based dietetic practice, often advocating on behalf of the patient and their family and carers.
The department participates in undergraduate student training, taking dietetic students for their A, B & C placement and has an excellent reputation as a placement provider.
This post offers a great opportunity not only to develop your experience and skills in a specialist area of dietetics, but to take an active leadership role in service redesign, managing a team and the continued development of the community dietetic department as a whole.
For AHP posts within Grampian, there is a requirement to provide services flexibly to meet the needs of service users. This will include providing services over weekends and extended hours.
You must be an experienced, confident car driver and hold a full UK driving licence
