Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant in Plastic Surgery including Hand Surgery based at Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee. The post is for up to 12 months and may generate a substantive post in the future which would be subject to standard NHS employment processes and open to applications from appropriately qualified surgeons.

This is a full-time post (10 PAs per week) – based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, but with sessions across the regional territory. The post will have a major interest in hand surgery, both emergency and elective.  General plastic surgery as well as skin cancer surgery is also included.

The on-call commitment is currently on a 1:8 basis.

The post is available from 27 February 2023.

The successful candidate will join a team of nine Consultant Plastic Surgeons and 7 registrars. Although this post is for hand surgery specialist interest, the role can offer opportunities across a broad spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Candidates must be GMC registered and have FRCS (Plast), or equivalent.
