Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, part time (20h50mins hours per week) post based in The Access Place – Edinburgh Access Practice.
To deliver the provision of Personal Medical Services to vulnerable homeless people, participate in the strategic development of the Practice, participate in audit of service delivery, and contribute to the integrated work of Health, Housing and Social Work Services.
Try a different kind of general practice. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP to join our friendly and committed team. We aim to provide holistic care and adapt new ways of working to support those experiencing homelessness. The Access Place is a unique service providing joined up primary care, housing and social work. We have strong links with organisations serving homelessness including hospital in-reach and Milestone House – offering a place to stay with intensive support between hospital and home. There are often opportunities to advocate for homelessness to policy makers at both local and national level as well as at conferences and via research ties with the University of Edinburgh.
