The NHS Fife Digital and Information are looking to recruit an Interface Config and Testing Analyst within the Application Services area on a Fixed term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Applications Services – Support / Delivery team as a key technical resource. Duties will consist in the development of data level interfaces between new and existing clinical applications, including interface configuration and testing.

The Interface Config and Testing Analyst position will be joining an exciting programme implementing 21st century electronic prescribing & medicines administration solutions across NHS Fife. You will be an integral part of the project team providing technical & functional support for the delivery of Digital Medicines Management within NHS Fife. In addition, you will liaise with other support teams and external support organisations where necessary.

What we are looking for:

You should have previous experience supporting the application delivery area and have both notable interfacing and testing experience.

The post requires education to a minimum of HNC level, preferably in the IT field or an equivalent level of knowledge and should include the following:

•        Experience of SQL relational database design & querying.

•       Strong working knowledge of application coding in a modern computer language (such as Microsoft .NET), and ideally systems integration using HL7 messaging standards with an integration engine such as Ensemble or Mirth.

•       Good knowledge, skills and competencies typically gathered during the performance of a similar role including the administration and technical support of complex applications

•       Experience and awareness supporting and ensuring uptime of mission critical applications and managing our service providers to focus on the same teams to provide solutions to problems or issues.

Application Support is a key function within the digital portfolio, ensuring that clinicians have the technology they need to deliver excellent patient care.

You must be able to travel throughout Fife as required. A level of English language competency and communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively is required.
