There is 2 positions available with this vacancy, both are full time 37.5hrs but 1 is permanent and the other is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

To improve the management of patients by the collection and prompt dissemination of prospectively collected high quality clinical data.  Provision of a comprehensive clinical audit data management service ensuring the collection, maintenance and submission of high quality clinical data for audit purposes.  To utilise information gathered through ongoing audit and/ or sprint audits to influence clinical practice leading to streamlined and improved services and outcomes for patients.  Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team the main duties of the post holder will be to contribute to the aims of STAG. This will involve ensuring that complete, accurate, and timely data are available on an ongoing basis. This is required to monitor the quality of care provided to patients and associated outcomes of care, and to enable improvements in care to be identified and implemented.  You will be responsible for developing and implementing methods of comprehensive case ascertainment to identify patients eligible for inclusion in the audit/ register using data provided from other sources e.g. IT systems, case notes, ward records and attendance at multidisciplinary meetings etc. and according to agreed national inclusion/ exclusion criteria.  ​​​​​​​Be responsible for the accurate and reliable data collection and input of audit data information via an electronic system (e STAG) and develop relationships with clinicians and other relevant staff to ensure that all appropriate patients are included in the audit and that guidance can be sought for clarification of specific clinical conditions/ terminology.  It is essential that you are a Registered Clinician, eg Registered Nurse with the NMC or a registered Allied Health Professional with evidence of current registration.  You should have post registration experience as a Band 5 or equivalent in relevant clinical area.
