Site Manager Operational Estates – Decontamination

The post holder provides professional and technical support to and deputises for the Assistant Head of Operational Estates and contributes to the forward planning, development and implementation of effective and efficient maintenance policies. The post holder will act as operational lead within the Estates Management Team, Decontamination, and is professionally responsible for delivering the organisations key objectives, in maintaining an effective estates service within allocated budgetary resource and in compliance with statutory requirements and mandatory NHS Healthcare standards and guidelines.  The post holder will provide expert advice to Senior Managers within the organisation.

Employing both direct labour and specialist contractors to ensure the provision of a quality health care environment, including management and delivery of delegated capital projects.

This is a highly specialist post where a high level of expertise is required to effectively deliver the service within a multi-disciplinary estate function. The post holder will:-

  • Manage an effective Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), repair and installations service which represents quality and value for money at all times;
  • Manage safe maintenance services to all plant and equipment and service infrastructure within the Health Care Environment;
  • Continually develop the Estates function into a customer focused range of services;
  • Maintain a flexible, integrated working approach to the delivery of an effective and efficient Estates Service.
  • Specialist knowledge pressure systems, SHTM 0101, large porous load sterilisers, washer disinfectors, endoscopic washers and building services management.
  • Extensive knowledge in validation and verification of decontamination equipment.
