We have the pleasure of inviting applications for the post of Advanced Podiatrist in Foot Protection, based initially in the South quadrant of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.  The Podiatry Service aims to deliver high quality care to patients and their carers.  The key responsibilities of the service are to provide triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a diverse range of conditions and patient types in a variety of environments. There is also a key role in linking with care homes, nursing homes and other care providers as a point of contact and expert advice.  The service is patient centred and needs led with clinical assessment and diagnosis leading to patient management plans tailored to meet the needs of individual patients. There is a focus on rehabilitation with a self-care element included in treatment plans where appropriate.  Based in South quadrant includes working at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, a large tertiary centre where Podiatry has strong multi-disciplinary links with Diabetes, Vascular, Orthopaedics and Infectious Diseases specialities.  We have a commitment to innovation and regularly engage in multi-centre and inter-disciplinary research and quality improvement activity.  This post is a real opportunity to build and develop on an existing strong clinical foundation in Foot Protection and develop your career.   Applications are welcomed from candidates with minimum of 5 years post graduate experience including a minimum of 2 years at band 6.  Evidence of postgraduate education at masters level or equivalent through extensive experience is essential along with current HCPC registration and POM-A entitlement.  Qualifications and experience in Independent Prescribing or POM-S would be desirable.   These roles provide advanced practice level clinical care and leadership in foot protection across acute and community clinics, nursing homes and domiciliary environments.​​​​​​​
