The post holder will manage and co-ordinate the day to day technical operations within a section(s) of the Immunology and Neuroimmunology lab based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.  Candidates must be registered as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health Care Professions Council, and must have an MSc in a relevant subject or be working towards completion of an MSc. Experience of working within an Immunology or Neuroimmunology diagnostic laboratory, or experience on techniques or methods used within Immunology/Neuroimmunology would be highly desirable.  The post holder will have a fundamental role in the lab responsible for organisation and delegation of work and staff within section, training and development of staff, ensuring quality management within section and troubleshooting any issues.  The post holder will be expected to train to become a radiation protection supervisor within the department. There is also a requirement to participate in a weekend and public holiday on call rota after appropriate training.  There are 2 posts available covering 27-37.5 hours a week over Monday to Friday. Hours will be discussed at interview.
