We are looking for midwives to come and work in one of the most beautiful parts of the country as part of our Sutherland Community Team​​​​​​​

We are seeking experienced midwives who want to enhance their midwifery experience in a remote and rural setting.  Become part of a small team who carry a caseload of approximately 100 women per year.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about continuity in antenatal, postnatal and planned homebirth services. 

Servicing the community across large and scenic geographical area, Sutherland offers an idyllic lifestyle with some of the most beautiful coastal areas in the country.  

The right person will have the opportunity to develop skills as an autonomous practitioner and work towards enhancing services throughout Sutherland.   We are seeking someone motivated and enthusiastic who wants to make a difference to the families we care for.  ​​​​​​

Various hours are available and can offer both full and part time positions.  Applicants should be registered as a midwife with Nursing Midwifery Council and have a current drivers licence.  You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations to meet the operational requirements of the service. The role does include some planned on-call for homebirth as required.
