An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Self-Directed Support Officer in the Adult Care Review Team. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week. This post is suitable for workers with experience in Adult Social Care it is expected the post holder would be educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline e.g., social work, nursing, teaching, or occupational therapy. Exceptionally, an applicant may be able to demonstrate appropriate qualifications and experience to meet the requirements of the post. The post holder will contribute significantly to the coordination and implementation of Self-Directed Support legislation & policies and support individuals to receive their chosen option of care.
Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Ideally, the right candidate will have knowledge of the Social Care - Self Directed Support (Scotland) Act 2013 and the options therein and will be able to demonstrate strong values and principles and apply these to practice. The post-holder will be expected to travel within the Highlands area to support individuals and social care staff with Self Directed Support. The team is based in Inverness but due to the nature of this post Highland wide applicants will be considered.
