An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time (part-time hours will be considered), permanent Practice Education Facilitator (Band 6) within the Surgical Division.
We welcome applications for this post to join our Practice Education Team.
We are seeking a motivated, innovative registered nurse to be part of the Surgical Practice Education Team, led by a Lead Practice Educator. The post-holder will work together with the team to support pre and post registration training and education within the Surgical Division.
Applicants should have excellent care values, enthusiasm to work as part of a team and the motivation to learn and develop self and colleagues within exciting and challenging high pressure environments. You should be dynamic and forward thinking in your approach and focused on providing safe, effective, person-centred education.
Applicants should be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and,
• Have extensive experience at Band 5 or above (or equivalent) in posts which included supporting supervising and assessing learners and should be a current Practice Supervisor/Practice Assessor
• Is able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and influence change, using highly developed interpersonal and diplomacy skills
And desirable would be to have;
• Postgraduate certificate in teaching or relevant recognised education qualification
• Previous teaching experience
• Involvement in developing and using educational resources
The applicant will be required to work closely with, and be supported by, the senior Practice Education Team.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
