A rare opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist Team Lead within the Angus Adult Community Mental Health Service.  You will be based in Gowanlea, Arbroath and be responsible both operationally and professionally for occupational therapy staff based in 3 sites across Angus Adult Community Mental Health Services.  The ability to travel across the 3 sites to lead, support and develop the team is essential. 

You will be educated at Diploma/Degree level in Occupational Therapy with extensive knowledge, skills and experience of working with patients with severe and/or enduring mental health problems.  You will lead and develop an occupational therapy team to deliver complex occupational therapy assessment and evidence based interventions to help maximise patient function, independence and achieve positive health outcomes and holistic care for our patients.

Excellent communication skills will be required to forge effective working relationships with colleagues within our integrated team and the wider partner organisations in our community to improve patient outcomes. 

You will provide clinical and professional leadership to the team and be responsible for the day to day operational management of the OT staff based across Angus.  You will be expected to demonstrate leadership and change management skills as you will be responsible for initiating and implementing changes to ensure our services are responsive to the needs of our patients.

​Regular supervision is provided and opportunities for ongoing professional development are encouraged to meet individual needs.  We offer flexible working and remote working.   Angus Adult Community Mental Health Service is an exciting area to work in due to the recent investment in our workforce and ongoing innovative developments led by staff to improve our patient outcomes.
