Job Advert

The East of Scotland Research Ethics Service (EoSRES) is looking for a second REC Manager to join the East of Scotland regional ethics service. This is a part-time, 12 month fixed-term post, of 30 hours per week, with external funding.

The REC Manager will support research applications through the ethical review process, providing administrative advice and expertise, to ensure compliance with National guidelines and legislation.  The post will focus on one of the two Committees but will involve helping and covering for colleagues across the service.  All applications and systems are electronic and Committee meetings are held via Teams. A high degree of computer literacy, concentration and accuracy is therefore required.

This is a highly diverse and challenging role, which requires the ability to work independently, dealing with competing priorities.  The position also requires a candidate who is comfortable with analysing and interpreting often complex information and has the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
